The lights just turned green for a second show with our fellows of STONEBRIDE from Croatia. So the 15th of May we´ll rock the “Werkstatt” in Mücheln and on the 16th the first gig of the year in our hometown will take place at “The Black Label”, Leipzig. PHANTOM STARS/DEVIL’S MOTHER - Split

Ein plötzlich aus dem Smog der Vorhölle auftauchender Güterzug – das wurde schon über die PHANTOM STARS, vier Jungs aus Leipzig, geschrieben. Und ja, so falsch ist diese Metapher nicht: Ein wirklich energiegeladenes, rockig-rotziges Gebräu mit enthusiastischem Gesang kommt da aus den Boxen gebrettert und klingt nach TURBONEGRO oder MOTÖRHEAD (man höre nur “Across The Ocean“) in modern, hart und ziemlich wild. Auffallend und charakteristisch sind dabei die während der fünf kurzen, allesamt unter der vier-Minuten-Marke angesiedelten Nummern immer wieder eingesetzten Sprachsamples, die für einen gewissen Wiedererkennungswert sorgen. Insbesondere dem Opener “Devil In Me“, der noch ein klein wenig stärker als die übrigen vier Tracks ist, verleihen sie einen fast unverwechselbaren und irgendwie lässigen Touch.

right know we’re preparing for our trip to the north of Germany. In the afternoon we are going to leave the city to record all the songs for the split CD with DEVILS MOTHER. The studio is named DIE TONMEISTEREI placed in a city named Oldenburg. I’m sure that we’ll have some nice days with the guys from the studio. In the last months… years… they recorded bands like ALPINIST, COOGANS BLUFF, JUST WENT BLACK, PERTH EXPRESS, THE NOW DENIAL, THE 244GL… so - hopefully they can give us an awesome sound too. we really like to say thanks for everybody who supported us yesterday on our show at “Stak Reloaded” in Schmölln (Ger). It was a great show and pleasure for us to play there. Hope we can repeat this in the end of the year. Special thanks goes out to the organisers and the soundman. Good work!

Hi there, in the end of 2008 we deceided to search for a new bassist. The last shows we played as a trio and Walli played bass guitar. Now Bernd joined the band and we are complete. The first show we’d to play with the new line up is the show at “Stak Reloaded” in a city named Schmölln (Ger). So, we have to rehearse a lot in the next three weeks to get ready for the show.
